Los expertos indios han mostrado su preocupación a que China, país con el que están teniendo tantas disputas, tenga el control de la lluvia. Temen que sea utilizada esta tecnología como un arma.
Investigadores de la National Taiwan University publicaron un artículo en el año 2017 através de Geoforum diciendo lo siguiente:
La falta de una coordinación adecuada de la actividad de modificación del clima podría conducir a cargos de ‘robo de lluvia’ entre las regiones vecinas.
China tiene antecedentes utilizando la tecnología de modificación del clima con resultados verdaderamente exitosos. Sembró nubes antes de los Juegos Olímpicos de 2008 para que el evento se realizara bajo cielo despejado.
No hay duda de que esta tecnología es un gran avance con muchas ventajas, pero en las manos equivocadas podría ser realmente temible.
